Two doubles by FY Gabrielle Burrola (Gallup, NM) highlighted a nine-run first inning as Saint Joseph's College cruised to an 11-1 win in five innings over Mitchell College.

St. Joe's batted around in first inning as FY Kristi Albert (Farmingdale, ME) scored on an error. Burrola followed with her first double, scoring FY Alysn Ludwig (Waldoboro, ME). The Monks continued with singles by FY Kim Bechard (Lewiston, ME), sophomore Deb Drown (Gorham, ME), Albert, Ludwig and a 3-RBI double by Burrola.

Mitchell plated a run in the third on an RBI single by senior Jennifer Cassara (New Rochelle, NY) that scored Donelin.

The Monks added a run in the third and a final run in the fourth as sophomore Audra Cushman (Bangor, ME) singled and went on to score.

Junior Colleen Delahanty (Warren, ME) improved to 13-7 and struck out two in the win. Arendt took the loss for Mitchell.

St. Joe's was led by Burrola (2/3, 1 run, 4 RBI), Ludwig (1/3, 2 runs, 2 RBI) and Albert (2/3, 3 runs).

Roy, Bartolucci and Cassara each had a hit for Mitchell.
