STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's College has moved up to ninth in this week's New England Intercollegiate Softball Coaches Association (NEISCA) Poll.
The Monks (28-8, 21-3), ranked 10th in last week's NEISCA Poll, head into the GNAC Tournament as the #2 seed and will host a quarterfinal game this afternoon at 4:00 PM. St. Joe's will play the winner of the #3 Emerson/#6 St. Joseph (Conn.) game, which will be played today at Ward Park at 2:00 PM.
Overall, three Great Northeast Athletic Conference teams are ranked this week. Rivier College (29-2), the top seed in this weekend's tournament, is ranked fifth and Emerson is 10th.
