Cahill Collects Third MWBCA Weekly Honor

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's freshman center Morgan Cahill (Yarmouth, Maine) has been chosen as the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) Co-Rookie of the Week.

In the Monks' only game last week – a 74-63 loss at the hands of Rivier University on Saturday - Cahill netted a career-high 22 points off a 10-15 shooting effort. She also pulled down six caroms and recorded a pair of blocked shots in the conference setback. Cahill shares her third MWBCA top-rookie honor of the season with Maine Maritime Academy freshman Mary Badeen (Newport, Maine).

Cahill has started all 14 games for Saint Joseph's this winter and currently leads the team in rebounding (8.4 RPG) and blocks (26) and ranks second on the squad in scoring (11.4 PPG).

Saint Joseph's (8-6, 2-1 GNAC) plays at Suffolk University on Thursday in a conference contest slated to start at 6:00 PM.
