ON THIS DATE: Monks Win Fourth Straight, Stapelfeld Scores 1,000th Point

On January 25th, 2020 Saint Joseph's College topped Albertus Magnus College, 70-62, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's basketball contest played in New Haven, Connecticut.

NOTEWORTHY:

Junior guard Cassandra Stapelfeld (Brookline, N.H.) paced the Monks with 20 points and seven rebounds and was 7-for-9 from the FT line
Sophomore guard Alyson Fillion (Bedford, N.H.) added 13 points and six boards
Senior guard Julia Quinn (Fryeburg, Maine) contributed 11 points, four caroms, and two assists and was 3-for-5 from downtown
Stapelfeld entered the game five points shy of the 1,000-point plateau and hit the milestone on the button when she netted a pair of free throws at the 2:53 mark of the first quarter
