Lops & Partridge Honored by GNAC

STANDISH, Maine – The first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvais spring season weekly honors have been announced and two Saint Joseph's College baseball players have earned awards.

Nic Lops (South Portland, Maine/Cheverus), a graduate student, has claimed GNAC Player of the Week honors while sophomore Josh Partridge (Deerfield, N.H.) has been tabbed as the GNAC Pitcher of the Week.

Lops went 4-6 with a run and three RBI in a doubleheader sweep over WPI on Sunday. The GNAC Player of the Week honor is the first of his career.

Partridge tossed five innings of two-hit, shutout ball with five strikeouts to pick up the win over WPI on Sunday. The GNAC Pitcher of the Week award is also a career-first.

The first spring reporting period covered Monday, February 29th through Sunday, March 6th – Saint Joseph's opened the season with a pair of games versus WPI in the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational on Sunday in Auburndale, Florida.

Saint Joseph's (3-1) will face Concordia College (Ill.) at 9:00 AM on Thursday.
