Partridge Earns Second GNAC Pitcher of the Week Honor

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been announced and Saint Joseph's College junior Josh Partridge (Deerfield, N.H.) has been selected as the Pitcher of the Week for the second time this spring.

Partridge picked up two wins and a save and fanned six over 5.1 innings in three appearances last week, allowing just three hits and a walk to improve to 4-0 on the season. He threw two scoreless frames in a 5-3 win at Colby, a clean inning in a 5-4 win over Lasell, and 2.1 scoreless in a 7-5 win at JWU.

The junior southpaw, who earned the same conference honor on March 13th, is 4-0 with two saves, a 1.31 ERA, and 19 strikeouts in 20.2 innings. He has allowed just three walks and a .183 opponents' batting average over 10 appearances so far this season.

Partridge currently leads the conference in wins and saves and ranks second in the GNAC in ERA.

A 2016 Third Team All-GNAC selection, Partridge has now claimed three Pitcher of the Week accolades in his career. He earned his first weekly honor on March 8th, 2016.

Saint Joseph's (17-2, 4-0 GNAC) will play at Endicott College this afternoon at 4:00 PM.
