Monks Ranked 16th & 18th Nationally, Fifth in New England

STANDISH, Maine – National and regional NCAA DIII Baseball rankings have been released and, for the fourth-consecutive week, Saint Joseph's College is listed in all three polls.

Saint Joseph's, 31-6 overall and 13-1 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play, is ranked 16th in the D3Baseball.com/NCBWA Poll, 18th in the ABCA/Collegiate Baseball Poll, and fifth in the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) regional rankings.

The Monks won all four of their games last week and enter the GNAC Tournament having outscored opponents by a whopping 103-16 margin during a seven-game winning streak spanning back to April 23rd. St. Joe's moves up six spots in the D3Baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25, two slots in the ABCA/Collegiate Baseball Poll, and falls one rung in the NEIBA regional ranks.

As of May 1st, Saint Joseph's is ranked first in NCAA DIII Baseball in OBP (.447), second in batting average (.355), third in scoring (9.7 runs per game) and total runs (358), sixth in winning percentage (.838), and seventh in slugging percentage (.514).

Saint Joseph's, the top seed in the GNAC Tournament, will host a second-round game versus #4 Johnson & Wales University on Thursday at 3:30 PM.
