STANDISH, MAINE - After a hard-fought scoreless first half, Thomas College scored 4 goals in the second half to secure a 4-0 victory over Saint Joseph's College.

The St. Joe's squad had the advantage in shots (9-5) and corners (4-3) in the first half, but was unable to convert. Thomas keeper Jen Lane made several key saves in the half.

Amy Miles scored the game winner in the 40th minute and Kari Beth Grant added to the lead four minutes later. Ashley Gibson's two goals with less than five minutes to play put the game out of reach for St. Joe's.

First-year Katie Seaman (Beverly, MA) continued to "bring her A game" as Coach Lewis stated and played well for St. Joe's. Junior Sarah Kay (Lewiston, ME) and sophomore Darcy Ward (Dresden, ME) kept the Thomas keeper busy with 5 shots apiece.

St. Joe's takes on USM at 1:00 on Sunday, October 2nd at home.
