Monks Defeated by Keene

Standish, ME - The SJC field hockey team battled for seventy minutes, but came up short as Keene State picked up a 2-0 victory today. The Owls scored a goal in each half to secure the win and improve to 4-3 overall, while the Monks also hold a 4-3 record.

Keene State scored their first goal at 21:28 after SO Karen Robinson (Phillipston, MA) found JR Amanda Wright (Shelburne, MA) on a penalty corner. SO Carly Benning (Brewster, MA) gave the Owls an insurance goal at 51:15.

SJC keeper FY Kathleen Simoes (Wakefield, MA) had six saves and SR Jennifer McDougall (Avon, CT) had five saves for Keene.

St. Joe's hosts Simmons on Saturday, September 22nd at 1:00 PM while Keene hosts Bridgewater State on Saturday at 1:30 PM.
