STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been released and Saint Joseph's College senior forward Libby Pomerleau (Limerick, Maine) has been named the GNAC Field Hockey Player of the Week.
Pomerleau led the Monks to a 2-0 week by scoring three goals and dealing three assists for nine total points in wins over UMaine-Farmington and Albertus Magnus. Against the Falcons, the senior forward totaled six points with two goals and a pair of helpers and broke the Monks' career points record in the process. Pomerleau has netted 149 points (62 goals, 25 assists) over 71 career games.
The two-time GNAC Offensive Player of the Year and three-time First-Team All-GNAC honoree has scored four goals with four assists for 12 total points over eight games this fall. She currently leads the conference in assists and ranks second in points and third in goals.
For Pomerleau, the weekly conference award is the seventh of her career. She has been tabbed as the GNAC Player of the Week four times.
Saint Joseph's (7-1, 2-0 GNAC) will host Thomas College in a non-conference bout on Friday at 6:00 PM.
