Monks Field Hockey Team Receives National Academic Honor

STANDISH, ME - The Saint Joseph's College field hockey team was one of 147 NCAA DIII programs to receive 2020 NFHCA Division III National Academic Team honors.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) presents the award to those institutions that achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year. Saint Joseph's has now claimed the NFHCA academic honor on 10 occasions.

Three SJC players also earned the 2020 NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction accolades, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) last week. These members include junior Emma Dubuc (Burlington, Vt.) and sophomores Molly McCluskey (Orono, Maine) and Anna Walker (Scarborough, Maine).

This year, over 450 student-athletes have been recognized as NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction, a program that recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year.
