CHICOPEE, MA - The St. Joe's swim team travelled to Elms College to compete against the Blazers on Saturday, 12/8. The Women's team lost 140-114 and the Men fell 84-39. FY Lindsay D'Ascanio (Kennebunk, ME) continued her string of strong performances with individual first place finishes in the 100 fly and 100 IM. D'Ascanio was also a member of the top finishing medley relay and the 2nd place 200 free relay. Lindsay finished with 33 points in the meet.
Freshman phenom Katie Brooks (North Kingstown,
RI) earned an individual first place finish in the 50 back, 100
back and the 400 freestyle as well as the medley relay. Brooks
also received 33 points in the competition.
The 200 medley relay team scored a first place finish as well. The
relay team was composed of Lindsay D'Ascanio,
Katie Brooks, JR Ashton Piers
(Falmouth, ME) and SO Danielle Harmon (Poland,
ME).
For the men, JR Pat DeCola (Methuen, MA) produced
a first place finish in the 50 backstroke.
The Saint Joseph's College Swim team will travel to Biddeford, ME
to compete against the University of New England, Monday 1/7/08.
The meet begins at 7:00 PM.
