STANDISH, ME – The SJC Men's Swim team kicks off the 2010-11 campaign with a meet against Elms College at the Harold Alfond Center Pool on Saturday, November 13th.
Third-year Head Coach Rick Horr has guided the men's program to steady improvement during his tenure and expects this group to continue the trend.
Kevin Towne '12 (Shrewsbury, MA) and Brian Grasser '12 (Groton, CT) return this winter, while Bryndon Page '14 (Windham, ME) and Thomas Smith '14 (New Hartford, CT) will join the program as newcomers.
Towne owns four program records and Grasser has swum legs for all four of the Monks' record-setting relay teams. Coach Horr has high expectations for Smith, a freestyle/distance swimmer, and Page, who competes in the breaststroke events, this coming season.
The Royal Blue will participate in seven events this season, including the NCAA DIII Regional Championships February 18-20.
