Monks Break Seven Records in Loss to Blazers

STANDISH, ME – Elms College defeated Saint Joseph's, 104-60, in men's swimming action at the Harold Alfond Center on Saturday afternoon. The SJC men participated in nine events and broke program records in seven different competitions against the Blazers.

Junior captain Kevin Towne (Shrewsbury, MA) earned 27 points with top finishes, and new team-record times, in the 50-Back (27.75), 100-Back (59.69) and 100-IM (1:05.09) events.

Thomas Smith '14 (New Hartford, CT) won the 500-Free (5:33.27) and finished second, and posted team-record efforts, in the 200-Free (1:59.30) and 100-Free (55.25) events.

Bryndon Page '14 (Windham, ME) won the 100-Breast (1:12.12) competition and finished second in the 50-Breast (31.85), achieving new team records in both events.

Saint Joseph's will swim at Regis College next Saturday at 12:00 PM.
