Gilvey Earns Conference Honor

STANDISH, ME – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honor roll has been released and Saint Joseph's College men's swimming sophomore Alexander Gilvey (Windham, Maine) has earned accolades for the second time this winter.

Gilvey led the way in a convincing victory over Husson on Saturday with top finishes in the 200-Free (1:55.71), 100-Fly (58.69) and 200-Breast (2:35.95) events. The sophomore standout also swam a leg for the Monks' 200-Free relay team, which broke the team record with a 1:34.29 performance.

Saint Joseph's will wrap up the regular season with a head-to-head meet at Gordon College on Saturday, starting at 1:00 PM. The 2013-14 season concludes when the Monks compete in the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championship at University of Rhode Island. The three-day event starts on Friday, February 14th.
