ON THIS DATE: Men Topple UNE, 133-87

On January 13th, 2013 the Saint Joseph's men's swim team defeated University of New England, 133-87, in Biddeford, Maine.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Freshman Alex Gilvey (Windham, Maine) set a new UNE pool-record with a win in the 200-Back (2:09.58), won the 200-IM (2:11.93) and placed second in the 50-Fly (26.37)
  • Junior Adam Gaulin (Belfast, Maine) won the 50-Breast (30.02) and 100-Breast (1:06.54)
  • Sophomores Preston Bowden (Biddeford, Maine) and Chris Cullity (North Reading, Mass.) also posted individual wins with top times in the 100-Back (1:03.53) and 500-Free (5:36.13), respectively
  • Sophomore Antonio Delvecchio (Middlebury, Conn.) won the 200-Free (1:59.12) and was the runner-up in the 100-Fly (1:03.54) and his classmate, first-year swimmer Evan Wright (Preston, Conn.), won the 100-Free (54.81) and placed second in the 50-Free (25.35)
