STANDISH, ME - The Great Northeast Athletic
Conference has announced that Saint Joseph's College senior
Ryan Prescott (Pittsfield, NH)
has been named as the conference Runner of the Week and freshman
Bobby Britten (Scarborough, ME)
received Rookie of the Week honors.
In the season's first cross country meet, the Runnin' Monks Early
Bird 5K hosted by St. Joe's on September 6th,
Prescott earned a second-place finish with a time
of 16:44, just three seconds off pace.
Britten, in his first collegiate action, finished
the Runnin' Monks race 15th overall and was the second SJC runner
to cross the finish line with a time of 18:03.
The SJC men earned a runner-up finish in the meet with 60 team
points.
After several weeks of training, St. Joe's will travel to
Williamstown, PA on September 27th to compete in the Purple Valley
Classic hosted by Williams College.
