STANDISH, ME - For the second time this season a
pair of Saint Joseph's College MXC runners have been recognized
with Great Northeast Athletic Conference Weekly Awards.
Senior Ryan
Prescott (Pittsfield, NH) is the GNAC Men's Cross
Country Runner of the Week after placing ninth overall in the
Purple Valley Classic, hosted by Williams College, on September
27th. Prescott was the first St. Joe's runner to cross the finish
line with a time of 26:43 in the event.
Freshman runner Bobby
Britten (Scarborough, ME) is the GNAC Men's Cross
Country Rookie of the Week after finishing as the third SJC runner
to complete the Purple Valley Classic with a 30:47 time, which was
good for 154th overall.
As a team, Saint Joseph's placed 12th in the meet
with 379 points.
Saint Joseph's will compete in the Pop Crowell Invitational hosted
by Gordon College in Wenham, MA on Saturday, October 4th at 10:45
AM.
