STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's men's cross country freshman Joe DiSalvo (Derry, N.H./Pinkerton Academy) has been chosen as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week.
DiSalvo finished as the top SJC runner and placed 16th overall with a 30:18 effort in the UNE Invitational 8K race at Rotary Park in Biddeford, Maine on September 10th.
The first-year runner has paced the Royal Blue in both of the team's meets so far this fall. He opened his collegiate career with a 22:39 effort - good for seventh place overall - in the UMF Invitational 6K on September 3rd.
St. Joe's will hit the trails again in the Rivier College Invitational on Friday, September 23rd at 4:00 PM.
