STANDISH, ME – The Saint Joseph's College 2012 cross country schedule has been announced.

The Monks are set to compete in nine meets this fall, starting with a home event versus University of New England on Saturday, September 1st.

St. Joe's participates in the UNE Invitational at Rotary Park in Biddeford, Maine a week later and travels to Nashua, New Hampshire on Friday, September 21st to run in the Rivier College Invitational.

The next weekend, Saint Joseph's makes the trek to Keene, New Hampshire to compete in the Keene State College Invitational on September 29th. The program hosts the Runnin' Monks Invitational on Saturday, October 6th, a meet that caps the 2012 regular season.

Championship season begins on Saturday, October 13th when the Monks participate in the State of Maine Championship, which takes place in Gorham. The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship takes place in Nashua on Saturday, October 27th and the ECAC Championship will be run in Williamstown, Massachusetts on Saturday, November 3rd.

The 2012 NCAA New England Regional Championship will take place in Westfield, Massachusetts on Saturday, November 17th.

Saint Joseph's placed fifth in the 2011 GNAC Championship, run at historic Franklin Park in Boston, under the watch of first-year Head Coach Ray Putnam.
