STANDISH, ME – When the Saint Joseph’s Softball team hosts the Emerson College Lions for a GNAC doubleheader on Saturday, April 17th, players from both teams will be sporting pink t-shirts and other pink gear in support of breast cancer awareness.
The Monks’ players will be selling t-shirts and collecting donations for the “Think Pink” event, with all proceeds being donated to a local breast cancer charity.
In addition, the team will have pink canisters around campus at Bon Appétit, Java Joe’s, the Book Store and the Alfond Center front desk, today through Friday, and they will be around the softball field on Saturday for folks who may wish to donate cash rather than or in addition to purchasing a t-shirt.
The first game on Saturday, which will be preempted with a ceremony for the Monks’ four seniors, will begin at 1:00 PM.
