Hendrix Garners GNAC Rookie Honors

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's sophomore outfielder Theresa Hendrix (Scarborough, Maine/Cheverus) has been named as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Softball Rookie of the Week.

Hendrix hit .571 (8-14) and posted an otherworldly 1.143 slugging percentage with five runs, a double, two triples, a home run and nine RBI over four GNAC victories last week. She 3-3 with three runs, a triple, a homer and five RBI in a victory over Lasell College on March 20th and capped the week by going 4-7 with two runs, a double, triple and three RBI in a doubleheader sweep over GNAC-rival Albertus Magnus College on March 24th.

Through 12 games, Hendrix is hitting .364 (12-33) with 10 runs, two doubles, three triples, a home run, and nine RBI. She has also made two relief appearances in the circle for the Royal Blue and has fanned four batters in 1.2 innings while earning a pair of saves.

Saint Joseph's will host GNAC foe Emerson College on Wednesday in a doubleheader slated to begin at 3:30 PM.
