WATERVILLE, ME - The Saint Joseph's club track & field team competed in a meet at Bates College on Saturday. 19 SJC athletes participated in the event.

Highlights of the meet for St. Joe's included Peyton Dostie '15 (Standish, Maine) placing 3rd in the 600 meter (1:40.89) and 5th in long jump (4.99m), Doe Leckie '15 (Naples, Maine) finishing seventh in the 60 meter hurdles (9.98), and Amber Dostie '15 (Standish, Maine) notching a seventh-place time in the 1 mile (5:40.94).

On the men's side Jeff Merrill '15 (Fitchburg, Mass.) placed seventh in the 400 meter dash (1:04.55), Calvin Servaes '14 (Hull, Mass.) was seventh in the high jump (1.71 meters), and Jack LaFreniere '13 (Alton, N.H.) finished eighth in the 600 meter run (1:29.04).

Overall, the women placed sixth with 18 team points and the men finished seventh with five points.

Saint Joseph's will compete at the University of Southern Maine Invitational this Saturday at 1:00 PM.
