Hagerman Named GNAC Co-Player of the Week

STANDISH, ME – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has announced its weekly honors and SJC Women's Lacrosse midfielder Lauren Hagerman '10 (Scarborough, ME) has been named as the GNAC Co-Player of the Week.

Hagerman, who shares the honor with Emerson's Maeghan Ross, tallied eight goals, eight assists, eight draw controls, eight groundballs and two caused turnovers for the Monks last week. She notched two goals and five assists in a loss to Southern Maine on April 13th and registered three goals and three assists in a victory over Rivier on April 16th. Hagerman, who scored her 100th goal earlier this season, became the first player in program history to reach the 200-point plateau with her second goal against Emerson on April 17th.

For Hagerman, the player of the week honor is her second of the season, with her first conference honor being awarded on March 30th. Hagerman garnered ECAC Offensive Player of the Week honors that week as well.

Through 14 games for the 10-3-1 Monks, Hagerman ranks as the team leader in points (80) and assists (28) and is second on the squad in goals (52). Her point and assist totals this spring are both program single-season records.

St. Joe's (7-1 GNAC), the #2 seed will host #3 Norwich University (7-6, 7-1 GNAC) in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Semifinal contest on Wednesday at 4:00 PM. The game will be played at Westerlea Way Field on the Saint Joseph's College campus.
