Siebert Earns GNAC Player of the Week Honors

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been announced and Saint Joseph's College junior midfielder Mackenzie Siebert (Naples, Maine) has earned GNAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week accolades.

Siebert had a monster week with 15 goals and 10 assists in three conference victories. The junior midfielder netted six goals with three assists in a 15-5 win over Simmons on Tuesday, struck for four goals and three assists in a 13-6 triumph at Colby-Sawyer on Friday, and capped the week with five goals and four assists in a 14-4 victory on Saturday.

Through 13 games this spring, the junior standout has tallied 42 goals and 29 assists for 71 total points. She currently ranks second in the conference in points, third in assists, and sixth in goals.

Siebert is the second SJC player to garner GNAC weekly honors this spring as sophomore Celia Melanson (Waterford, Maine) claimed the same award on February 26th.

Saint Joseph's (10-3, 6-1 GNAC) will play at Regis College on Tuesday at 7:00 PM.
