KANSAS CITY, MO. --- Megan Willette of Saint Joseph's College (Maine) and Amy Chandler of Nebraska Wesleyan University headline the All-Independent Women's Soccer teams named today by the Association of Division III Independents.

Willette, a freshman forward from Waterville, Maine, who notched 25 goals and 10 assists, was named the offensive player of the year. Chandler, a junior defenseman from Lincoln, Nebraska, was named the defensive player of the year after she anchored a defense that recorded 10 shutouts and allowed only 14 goals all season.

Freshman forward Karen Taylor from Meredith College was named the rookie of the year, while head coach Michael Bolanz from Saint Joseph's College (Maine) was named the coach of the year for the second year in a row.

The Association of Division III Independents consists of 19 Division III independent institutions that have joined together to recognize student-athletes at independent institutions, and to provide exempted postseason championship competition in seven sports in 2005-06.
