SJC DROPS A TOUGH ONE TO BRANDEIS

STANDISH, MAINE - Lisa Kaplin's second-half goal lifted Brandeis (7-6-1) to a 1-0 victory over host Saint Joseph's College (8-6). This is only the second time the Monks have been shut-out this season.

After an exciting, back and forth match, the Judges scored with just 2:59 remaining. The Monks, who were outshot 15-11, had a scoring opportunity as sophomore Jillian Leger (Westminster MA) nailed a shot off the cross-bar.

First year Megan Willette (Waterville, ME) had her chances as well, keeping Brandeis goalie Betsy Medow busy with 7 shots. Junior Krista Wotherspoon (New Gloucester, ME) made 7 saves for St. Joe's.

The team next plays at home, hosting the UMPI Owls on Saturday, 10/29 at 1 PM.
