Willette Scores Three Goals in 5-1 Victory

POULTNEY, VT - First-year Megan Willette (Waterville, ME) scored three goals and assisted on another as Saint Joseph's College rolled past host Green Mountain College.

Willette scored on a penalty kick at 39:15 to go up 1-0. Although St. Joe's out-shot GMC 10-5 in the first half, this would be the only goal of the half.

The offense erupted in the second half as the Monks recorded 4 goals. Senior Danielle McLaughlin (Skowhegan, ME) got things started seven minutes into the half, drilling a pass from Willette. St. Joe's added a goal in the 70th minute as Willette notched her second of the game to make it 3-0.

GMC tried to answer back as Amanda Jeffers scored her team's only goal of the game at 74:20. Junior Michelle Crisp (Dedham, MA) added to the SJC lead at 80:45 and Willette put it out of reach, recording her fourth hat-trick of the season, with a goal at 84:45.

Junior Krista Wotherspoon (New Gloucester, ME) had 4 saves in the victory.
