Willette Sparks Monks with 2 Goals

Boston, MA - Sophomore Megan Willette (Waterville, ME) recorded two goals to lead St. Joe's to a 3-1 victory over Emmanuel College. The Monks improve to 4-3, while Emmanuel stands at 4-4 overall.

After a scoreless first half, first year Kate McKenna (Holyoke, MA) gave the Saints the lead with a goal at 51:22. Twenty-one seconds later, Willette evened the score with her second goal of the season and followed it up with the go-ahead goal at 53:29 off a pass from first year Lauren Hagerman (Scarborough, ME).

In the sixty-second minute, sophomore Heather Stanger (Rockport, MA) gave the Monks a commanding 3-1 lead after netting the rebound of her own shot.

First-year Monica Cuda (Everett, MA) made four saves for St. Joe's and first-year Meaghan Mingo (Grey, ME) had 1 for Emmanuel.
