Monks Suffer 5-0 loss to Endicott

Beverly, MA - The SJC women's soccer team (9-7) fought hard, but were not able to withstand a relentless Endicott (15-3) attack that took a 5-0 victory last night. It was an early surge by the Gulls that did the damage; the Monks were never able to recover in the contest.

Senior Caitlin D'Amario opened the scoring just three minutes into the match and junior Sarah Miller finished a volley in the box at the 13 minute mark. Endicott continued to press and opened up a 3-0 lead going into halftime.

In the second half, Shields scored her second goal of the game and junior Erica Hunt capped off the scoring after finishing an open net strike. The Gulls held a 14-9 advantage in shots.

The St. Joe's squad travels to Maine-Presque Isle for a double-header with the men's team on Saturday, October 28th. The men play at 12 PM and the women play at 2 PM.
