Monks Continue Winning Ways

Standish, ME - The Monks recorded their second win of the season in a thrilling 1-0 double-overtime victory over Plymouth State University. This marks the second win over Little East Conference teams in as many days.

In the 107th minute of play, sophomore Katie Jordan (Sandwich, MA) broke through the Panther defense and drilled her second goal of the season for the game winner. Sophomore Megan Willette (Waterville, ME) kept Plymouth keeper FY Morgan McQuaide (Westerly, RI) busy with 3 shots on goal.

Plymouth State was led by senior Kelsey MacDonald (Oak Bluffs, MA), junior Jordan Mayhew (Jamaica Plain, MA) and FY Stacy DiSabato (Manchester, NH).

FY Monica Cuda (Everett, MA) had 6 saves in her second win of the season while McQuaide recorded 4 saves for the Panthers.

The Monks host nationally-ranked defending NESCAC champion Bates College on Thursday, Sept. 14 at 4 PM.
