Lady Monks Dominate Presque Isle

Presque Isle, ME - The Saint Joseph's College women's soccer team cruised to a 6-0 shut-out win on Saturday at Maine Presque Isle. Senior captain Michelle Crisp (Dedham, MA) scored twice for the Monks.

Crisp scored her first goal at 10:11 and extended the St. Joe's lead after netting a pass from sophomore Megan Willette (Waterville, ME) at 13:44. Willette set up sophomore Katie Jordan (Sandwich, MA) for a goal in the 19th minute and Jordan returned the favor, assisting on Willette's goal to stretch the Monk lead to 4-0 at the half.

After out-shooting the Owls 17-0 in the first half, St. Joe's kept the pressure on in the second half and did not allow UMPI one shot. First year Lauren Hagerman (Scarborough, ME) notched an unassisted goal at 62:40 and first-year Heidi Stucki (Oakland, ME) completed the scoring with a goal at 79:10 off a corner kick.

First-year Shannon Northrup (Westbrook, ME) picked up the win for the Monks without facing a single shot.

St. Joe's plays Green Mountain College at 1:30 PM in the Association of DIII Independents Championship on Saturday, November 4th at Green Mountain (VT).
