Cambridge, MA - Sophomore Megan
Willette (Waterville, ME) capped off a tremendous week
with a five-goal performance in St. Joe's 8-0 win at Lesley.
Willette, coming off two 2-goal games this week, led the Monks
(6-3) to their third straight victory.
Willette drilled her first at 9:28 off a pass from first year
Brianna Jordan (Scarborough, ME) and her second at
15:00 off a feed from senior Michelle Crisp
(Dedham, MA).
After two more goals by Willette at 19:34 and 23:19, Jordan set up
first-year Heidi Stucki (Oakland, ME) for her
second of the season at 27:25 to give St. Joe's a 5-0 lead at the
half.
The Monks continued their aggressive play, out-shooting Lesley 16-3
in the second half and wasted little time as Willette notched her
fifth of the game less than two minutes into the half.
Sophomore Brittany Roche (Amherst, NH) scored her
first intercollegiate goal at 54:20 and first-year Anna
Willis (Gorham, ME) also netted her first at 86:22.
First-year goalkeepers Monica Cuda (Everett, MA)
and Shannon Northrop (Westbrook, ME) split time in
net for St. Joe's and each made two saves.
