STANDISH, ME - Two St. Joe's women's soccer players,
Katye Mayo '10 (Fairfield, ME)
and Katie Jordan '09 (Sandwich,
MA), have been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference
Weekly Honor Roll.
The conference recognition is the first of the season for Mayo, who
recorded three shutouts in a perfect 3-0 week for the Lady Monks.
The junior netminder has not allowed a goal in her last 310 minutes
of play and has seven shutouts so far this year.
The weekly honor is Jordan's second of the fall and comes after a
week where she scored three goals and added two assists for eight
total points in an undefeated week for St. Joe's. The senior
captain netted her third game-winning goal of the season against
University of Maine at Farmington on October 16th.
St. Joseph's, currently in fourth in the conference, will travel to
West Hartford, CT this Saturday to take on second-place St. Joseph
College (13-2-2, 8-1-2 GNAC) at 1:00 PM.
