CHESTNUT HILL, MA - Saint Joseph's (3-3, 3-1 GNAC) defeated GNAC rival Pine Manor College (3-2-1, 1-2 GNAC) 6-0 on Wednesday afternoon. Junior Anna Willis (Gorham, ME) netted a pair of goals and added two assists in the triumph.

Sophomore Jessica Needham (E. Bridgewater, MA) scored the first goal of the game, her second of the season, off a pass from Willis in the 32nd minute. St. Joe's held the 1-0 lead going into intermission.

After 13 scoreless minutes to open the second half, the Lady Monks took a 2-0 lead on a Pine Manor own goal and went on to score four unanswered markers in the next 20 minutes of play to secure a 6-0 conference victory.

Willis scored her first of the match at the 63:17 mark followed by Stephanie Masters' '12 (South Portland, ME) first collegiate goal nine minutes later, assisted by Willis. Junior Brianna Jordan (Scarborough, ME) collected her first tally of the season in the 76th minute and Masters returned the favor by assisting on Willis' second goal of the contest in the 79th minute.

SJC goalkeeper Katye Mayo '10 (Fairfield, ME) turned away two Pine Manor shots, both taken by Alicia Grenier (Swansea, MA), and freshman Katelyn Call (Portland, ME) made her first appearance of the year in goal with 13:46 minutes of relief duty.

Goalkeeper Kayla Nielsen (Saco, ME) made 10 saves in net for the Gators.

Saint Joseph's will host GNAC opponent Simmons College on Saturday, September 27th at 1:00 PM.
