STANDISH, ME - Four Lady Monks scored to propel Saint Joseph's (9-4-1, 6-2-1 GNAC) past Thomas College (5-9-1, 1-5 NAC) on Sunday afternoon at Westerlea Way Field. Katye Mayo '10 (Fairfield, ME) made two saves in the shutout, her sixth of the season.

St. Joe's outshot the Terriers by a 35-2 margin and had a 10-1 edge in corner kicks in the triumph. Thomas keeper Lindsay Gove '10 (West Gardiner, ME) made 14 saves in the losing effort.

Whitney Linindoll '11 (Paris, ME) netted her third goal of the season to kick off the game scoring in the 22nd minute. Katie Jordan '09 (Sandwich, ME) set up the play that resulted in a score to the right corner past Gove.

The 1-0 SJC lead stood until the 49th minute of the match when Jordan notched a goal, her eighth of the year, off a cross pass from Jessica Needham '11 (E. Bridgewater, MA) that wound up in the left corner of the net.

Nine minutes later, Needham received a header pass from Mikayla Call '11 (Portland, ME/McAuley) and registered her sixth goal of the season to extend the SJC lead to 3-0.

Call capped the match scoring just 36 seconds later with her 12th tally of the year to help lift the Royal Blue to a 4-0 victory. The sophomore forward peppered the Thomas net with seven shots in the game.

Saint Joseph's will travel to Nashua, NH on Tuesday, October 21st to play against GNAC foe Rivier College at 7:00 PM. Thomas will play at Maine Maritime on Saturday, October 25th at 12:00 PM.
