STANDISH, ME - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has announced the 2009 Women's Soccer All-Tournament Team and a pair of St. Joe's players have been honored.
Junior forwards Mikayla Call (Portland, ME/McAuley) and Jessica Needham (East Bridgewater, MA) have both been recognized for their play during the GNAC Tournament. The top-seeded Monks (12-6-2, 9-1-2 GNAC) were upset by #5 Simmons in the semi's, 1-0, on Wednesday. The Sharks went on to defeat #2 Emmanuel, 2-1 in double-overtime, in the conference title match on Saturday to advance to the NCAA Tournament.
