NEW HAVEN, CT - Brianna Jordan '10 (Scarborough, ME) scored both Saint Joseph's (1-0-1, 1-0-1 GNAC) goals to help the Monks erase and early 1-0 deficit and defeat GNAC foe Albertus Magnus College (2-1, 0-1) in women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.

Krystal Quinones '12 (Bridgeport, CT) opened the game scoring for the Falcons with a goal in the 15 th minute off a pass from Samantha Gigliotti '11 (Wilton, CT).

The 1-0 lead stood until Jordan notched her first goal of the season, an unassisted marker, in the 29 th minute. The senior collected the game-winner in the 63 rd minute off a pass from Mikayla Call '11 (Portland, ME/McAuley).

SJC keeper Katye Mayo '10 (Fairfield, ME) made four stops in the triumph while her AMC counterpart Christina Oddo made one save.

The Monks and Falcons recorded 13 shots and 6 corner kicks each in what was the 2009 conference opener for both teams.

St. Joe's will host Wheaton College on Sunday at 2:30 PM while Albertus Magnus is set to host GNAC opponent Saint Joseph (CT) on Wednesday at 3:30 PM.
