STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's women's soccer freshman Danielle Daigle (Dayton, Maine/Thornton Academy) has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week.
Daigle, a talented young striker, played a role in two of the Monks' three goals last week. She notched an assist in a 2-1 victory over Thomas College on September 8th and netted her first collegiate goal in the 13th minute of a 1-1 deadlock with Norwich University on September 10th.
The first-year forward has started all three contests for the 1-1-1 Monks and leads the team in points (3) and shots (7) and is tied for the team-lead in shots on goal (3).
Saint Joseph's will host GNAC-rival Suffolk University on Wednesday at 4:00 PM.
