Monks’ Leading Scorers Collect GNAC Weekly Awards

STANDISH, Maine – The GNAC weekly awards have been announced and a pair of Saint Joseph's College women's soccer players have been honored.

Senior forward Hannah LeBlanc (Andover, Mass.) and freshman forward Haley DaGraca (Saco, Maine) have been selected as the GNAC Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

LeBlanc helped lead Saint Joseph's to a 2-1 week with 10 total points (4 goals, 2 assists) in the three contests. The senior captain scored a goal with an assist versus Maine-Farmington on Tuesday, netted an insurance goal late in a 2-0 triumph over Rivier on Saturday, and potted a pair with a helper in a 6-1 win over New England College on Sunday.

DaGraca netted four goals last week for St. Joe's and produced the side's first hat trick in three years in a triumph over New England College. The freshman forward netted all three of her markers in under six minutes early in the second half versus the Pilgrims.

LeBlanc is just the fifth SJC women's soccer player to garner GNAC Player of the Week honors and first since former teammate Kim Jordan '15 claimed the award on September 30th, 2013.

DaGraca is the fourth member of the Monks' soccer program to collect GNAC Rookie of the Week acclaim and first since former teammate Danielle Daigle '15  earned the honor on September 12th, 2011.

LeBlanc currently leads the Monks in points (12) and is tied with DaGraca, who has tallied 11 points this fall, for the team-lead in goals (5).

Saint Joseph's is set to host University of Southern Maine on Wednesday at 4:00 PM.
