DaGraca Named ECAC New England Rookie of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College freshman forward Haley DaGraca (Saco, Maine) has been selected as the ECAC DIII New England Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week.

DaGraca, who collected GNAC Rookie of the Week honors on Monday, netted four goals last week for St. Joe's, including three in a triumph over New England College on Sunday. The first-year forward netted all three of her markers in fewer than six minutes early in the second half versus the Pilgrims, netting the first hat trick by an SJC women's soccer player in three years.

DaGraca is currently tied for the team-lead in goals (5) and ranks second on the side in total points (11) through seven matches this fall.

Since the fall of 2007, DaGraca is the only Saint Joseph's women's soccer player to garner ECAC Rookie of the Week honors and the third overall to claim a weekly award from the organization. Former standout goalkeeper Jaci Lorenzen '14 was chosen as the ECAC DIII New England Defensive Player of the Week twice during the 2013 campaign and Danielle Daigle '15 was selected as the Player of the Week on October 15th, 2012.

Saint Joseph's (3-4-0) will host University of Southern Maine (2-3-0) this afternoon at 4:00 PM.
