STANDISH, Maine - Junior forward Haley DaGraca (Saco, Maine) has garnered New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Division III Third Team All-New England honors for the second-consecutive season.
DaGraca earns the regional honor after scoring 17 goals with three assists for 37 points during her junior season. The three-time First Team All-GNAC honoree set new Saint Joseph's career records for goals (50) and game-winning goals (13) during the 2017 campaign and is on the verge of breaking the SJC career points record, which stands at 115 points (Kathy Britton '93), with 109 over 56 games.
The junior standout also owns the Monks' career shots record (288) and, during her sophomore season, posted the second-highest totals for goals (21) and points (45) in team history. Her 2017 shots tally (124) is also a new SJC single-season record.
DaGraca is the only Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) player to be listed on the three 2017 NEWISA teams and is one of three players – UNE's Emily Certo and Katie Beaudoin are the others – from a Maine college or university to receive honors.
Saint Joseph's, 13-6-1 overall and 7-3-1 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play this fall under the watch of fifth-year Head Coach Jenelle Harris, earned the #4 seed in the conference tournament and advanced to the semifinal round for the second-consecutive season with a 4-0 first-round triumph over #5 University of Saint Joseph (Conn.). The Monks' season came to a close with a setback at the hands of top-seeded Lasell College on October 31st.
