ON THIS DATE - DaGraca’s Overtime Goal Pushes Monks Past Blue Jays, 1-0

On September 26th, 2015 Saint Joseph's College defeated University of Saint Joseph, 1-0 in overtime, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's soccer match at Westerlea Way Field.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Freshman forward Haley DaGraca (Saco, Maine) scored in the 98th minute to lift the Monks past the Blue Jays in a hotly-contested conference contest
  • Junior forward Desiree Parent (Westborough, Mass.) was credited with an assist on the game-winning marker
  • Sophomore keeper Brooke Troup (East Bridgewater, Mass.) made six saves in what was her second shutout of the season and sixth of her career
  • For DaGraca, the game-winning goal was the first of her collegiate career – she graduated in 2019 as the Monks' all-time leader with 20 winners
  • All SJC teams have combined to post a collective 14-19-1 (.412) record on this date
