Before St. Joe's: Attended Crown College for a semester.

High School: Threw for four years on the varsity track team at Kennett High School in North Conway New Hampshire...was made captain her senior year for both indoor and outdoor track...made the Wilderness Championship during high school three times and placing 2nd her senior year in the discus throw and 3rd in shot put...progressed to the Division 2 State Championship her junior and senior year placing 5th in the discus throw and 16th in the shot put...in 2022 she went to the Meet of Champions held at Sanborn High School in New Hampshire where she placed 10th out of 16...had a also was awarded the Indoor and outdoor track team award for her leadership and dedication to the track program. Garland maintain an outstanding GPA of 3.98 during her high school career and never saw her name off the high honor roll list.

Community Service: Garland volunteered at a Christian summer camp in Farmington, Maine.
