St. Joe's Places Ninth in Brunswick Invitational
BRUNSWICK, ME - The Saint Joseph's College Golf
team carded a team score of 707 in the two-day Brunswick
Invitational Tournament. Matt
Cotreau '10 (Lunenberg, MA) shot an 84 both days
to lead the Monks with a 168 in the event.
Husson University won the event with a 599 with four Eagles placing
in the top ten, including medalist Kevin Byrne who carded a 146
(75-71) to earn top honors.
Saint Anslem (305-303; 608) finished second, Brandeis (324-297;
621) placed third, and tourney host Bowdoin College (317-313; 630)
wrapped up the event in fourth place.
The Monks shaved 25 strokes off their opening day score, with four
SJC golfers improving by at least 8 strokes on Sunday.

Michael Patrick '11 (Wells, ME)
(94-86; 180), TJ Garske '12
(Federal Way, WA) (95-87; 182) and Michael
Lavoie '10 (Lewiston, ME) (99-88, 187) rounded out
the scoring for Saint Joseph's.
St. Joe's will next play in the Maine-Farmington
Invitational on Thursday at Sunday River Golf Club. Tee time is set
for 10:00 AM.
