St. Joe's Places Seventh in UMF Invitational
NEWRY, ME - With a team score of 354, Saint
Joseph's College placed 7th in the University of Maine-Farmington
Invitational on Thursday at the Sunday River Golf Club. SJC seniors
Matt Cotreau (Lunenberg, MA) and
Steve Sands (Westbrook, ME) both
carded an 84 in the event.
Husson University won the event with a 322 score as the Eagles
secured three of the top five places on the day, including medalist
Matt Loubier, who carded a 38-40-78 to win top honors by two
strokes.
T.J. Garske '12 (Federal Way, WA) shot a 47-42-89
for the Monks.
St. Joe's will host the John Queenan Memorial at the Point Sebago
Golf Resort in Casco on Tuesday, September 22nd. Opening tee-time
is slated for 11:00 AM.
