Caron Takes GNAC Rookie of Week Honors

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's College freshman Michael Caron (Gorham, Maine) has claimed GNAC Golf Rookie of the Week accolades for the conference reporting period ending September 22nd.

Caron paced the Monks and finished in a tie for seventh with an 83 (44-39) card in the Husson University Invitational on Saturday. The freshman, who also claimed GNAC Honor Roll mention last week, has enjoyed a tremendous rookie campaign thus far.

The Monks will compete in the Southern Maine Cup at the Gorham Country Club on Friday. Tee-time is slated for 12:00 PM in the yearly event, which features pairs of golfers playing six holes of best ball, followed by six holes of scramble format and finally six holes of alternate shot golf.
