STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's setter Samantha
Varrell (Portsmouth, NH) has been named to the
Great Northeast Athletic Conference Honor Roll for her play during
the September 8th-14th reporting week.
Varrell recorded 15 assists, nine digs and five aces against Husson
University on 9/9, 18 assists against Norwich University on 9/13
and 12 assists and eight digs against Emmanuel College on 9/13.
The freshman currently leads the Lady Monks in assists (187), digs
(79) and service aces (26).
Varrell earned GNAC Volleyball Rookie of the Week Honors on
September 9th.
