Monks Split GNAC Twinbill at JWU

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Saint Joseph's College (6-10, 3-3 GNAC) split a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's volleyball tri-match at Johnson & Wales University (6-7, 4-0 GNAC) on Saturday afternoon. The Monks blanked Dean College (5-12, 2-5 GNAC), 3-0 (25-17, 25-10, 25-12), before falling to the host-Wildcats, 3-0 (25-19, 29-27, 25-19), in the closing match.

LEADERS – SAINT JOSEPH'S:

  • Freshman Larisa Comolli (Nashua, N.H.) belted nine kills on 12 bids for a .750 attack percentage with two digs and three block assists
  • Sophomore Victoria Briones (El Paso, Texas) notched eight kills with a .727 attack rate, three aces, and 15 digs
  • Freshman Greta Mackintosh (Plymouth, Mass.) posted eight kills, six digs, and three block assists
  • Sophomore Nadia Sixto (Chattanooga, Tenn.) recorded eight kills
  • Senior Kailyn Chamberlin (Milford, N.H.) delivered 24 assists with eight digs and two kills
  • Freshman Sabrina Arcilla (Rivervale, N.J.) added five aces and nine digs

LEADERS – DEAN:

  • Sari Albury registered eight kills
  • Skylar Raskevitz posted 15 digs

LEADERS – SAINT JOSEPH'S:

  • Briones boasted a double-double with 14 kills and 11 digs
  • Comolli added five kills
  • Chamberlin chipped in with 11 assists and four digs
  • Arcilla notched 15 digs, three assists, and a pair of aces
  • Senior Abby Jerome (Barrington, N.H.) contributed with 10 digs

LEADERS – JOHNSON & WALES:

  • Peyton Oliver totaled 20 kills with 10 digs and three total blocks
  • Sarah Miller delivered 10 kills and 13 digs
  • Michela Voit added 21 assists
  • Sierra Nausieda notched 13 digs and a pair of service aces

Saint Joseph's is off until next Saturday when the team plays at Rivier University in a tri-match with Bay Path. The Monks will play the host-Raiders at 11:00 AM and take on Bay Path at 1:00 PM.
