Volleyball Tourney Match Moved to Wednesday

STANDISH, ME – The Monks' GNAC Women's Volleyball Tournament quarterfinal versus Johnson & Wales University, originally scheduled to be played on Tuesday evening, has been moved to Wednesday night due to the potential impact of Hurricane Sandy.

#3 Saint Joseph's (22-7, 9-3 GNAC) will host #6 Johnson & Wales (13-18, 8-4 GNAC) in a match slated to start at 7:00 PM on Wednesday.

For the SJC volleyball team, the home playoff contest will be the squad's first in six seasons as a GNAC member. The program has improved considerably under the watch of third-year Head Coach Yamile Nolan, as the Monks have advanced to the postseason all three seasons under her watch. Currently in the midst of one of the finest seasons in program history, St. Joe's played as the #8 seed in 2010 and was the #6 seed last fall.
